| Community and philanthropic involvement is
an integral component of 9Seconds's culture. Each month 9Seconds
is involved in dozens of community related activities.
Our co-founders Ray Gonzalez and Cindy Russell are involved
in several industry groups, and charity organizations and
hold representation on several advisory boards including Youth
As Resources.
Mr. Gonzalez works very closely with the Business Technology
Department for Hillsborough County School District. At least
once a month you can find him speaking to either a web design,
marketing or business class.
In February of 2004, Gonzalez was asked to give a presentation
on "Current Trends in the Web Industry" in an effort
to help teachers further understand how to teach students
not only the basic’s but how to apply what they learn
to real world situations.
In April of 2004, Gonzalez was asked to join the task force
charged with rewriting the web design curriculum for the Hillsborough
County School District.
Through out 2003 and 2004 both Gonzalez and Russell have
put on multiple marketing and public relations workshops
and seminars for Youth As Resources and the Youth Congress
of Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties.
Charitable Donations
Each year 9Seconds gives back to the community in terms of
donated services. In fact, we have donated an average of $50,000
per year worth of services in graphic design, consulting services,
web site design, hosting, search engine optimization and web
promotion for the past four years. Some of the organizations
we have worked with include The Muhammad Ali Center, Youth
As Resources, The National Conference for Community and Justice,
Community Tampa Bay, Amistad America, Sarasota Film Fest, the Greater Sarasota
Chamber of Commerce, Youth Congress of Hillsborough County,
and most recently, Give Kids The World. In total we donate
to over 20 non-profit or startup organizations on a yearly
basis.
Whether we are serving on boards and committees, donating
our services, public speaking, volunteering, or providing
internships and mentoring students, 9Seconds is helping to
enrich our community.
